The band Steal the Sun hired me to shoot their self-titled song. They wanted the appearance of some expensive orbiting ray lights but also wanted to keep the budget minimal. We opted to shoot the video using projectors, each running a mirrored video of abstract light ray patterns and seemed to do the job nicely. We also spilled a little bit of front key light into the band while trying not to drowned out the projected backlight.
